░▒▓█ DID IT!!!

As this special day was drawing to a close at 11:55 pm I panicked, and debated if I should throw in another token at the Super Street Fighter II: Turbo machine. The arcade was near the end of its operating hours and I may not have enough time to do it. But I went ahead and I decided to do it. We'd make this one good, solid try for tonight, I told myself.

This one good solid try did not translate too well as the controls were loose and I messed up on the Zangief stage where I could have gotten a DP (Double Perfect) against the Russian wrestler. But I carried on, with a determination to finish what I set out to do, and at the end, to mark the new beginning... I beasted Akuma with Super Original Balrog!!!

I knocked him down. COLD. Without giving him even a round. These two lovers now lie side by side.

On a related note a Chink player that I surmise to be in his late 30s whom I watched played the same next machine before me used Super Original Ken, actually thinking he's really good and all as he brought out his hardcore nerd years of training (likely since '94) with a high-tier and overpowered character - to fight and defeat M. Bison. Marvellous. Which also means that by his great achievement he has actually no ability to face off with Akuma. Let alone the fact that he ALSO GAVE A ROUND TO THE DICTATOR. Pfffftt.

Since the Super Street Fighter II days I have always looked down on those who use Shotos, and he is of no exception. I always believe that to win with those fireball-uppercut cheap trash types is but ordinary even if you trained for 50 years (I don't see them getting double perfects on anybody AI or human so I wonder what kind of a value they are) no longer how long you train, but to win with the maligned and ignored lower-tier characters is something far worthier to watch no matter how it's also done sometimes.

Balrog in his Super ORIGINAL COLOUR. DONE IN THE SAME EARLIER ORIGINAL VERSION. The way that it should be.

In view of these factors it simply shows he's rubbish. But enough talk about him, as I do better. Unlike these rot who are safety-first percentage cowards, beginner-camp refugees and just-like-everyone-else maniac believers I am always keen to support the less-advantaged characters and challenge myself, that's all.

And I take it that the first thing from a new day was done right, the result achieved. The first token was spent right too. I regard this state of development as auspicious.

☆☆☆ Disclaimer: In case anyone starts going stupid I would like to remind that this is not the first time I have done such a thing, using Super Original Balrog to knock out Akuma in a successful one-credit run of the whole game. This is a repeat to bring forth a new beginning, and the first to be captured by my dear classic chrome cell phone (they say it is shaped like a candy bar but I say it looks more like a surgical dish) personally.

And to our dear double air-fireball Akuma that debuted in this incredibly craptacular upgrade of the original Super Street Fighter II:
